BEING AN EBF FELLOW

For over 30 years, the Emma Bowen Foundation has been dedicated to the growth and development of students of color pursuing careers in media, entertainment, and technology. In that time, nearly 2,000 aspiring media professionals have received support, guidance, and resources from EBF. Most recently, each summer, we host a class of 150 new and returning EBF Fellows who intern at our partners that summer. Fellows are resourceful, reliable team players who are committed to their professional development and to making an impact during their internships and beyond.

Fellows benefit from the following fantastic programming and resources:

  • EBF Summer Conference – our annual event where Fellows network, learn, attend sessions, participate in Career Fair and take their first steps toward a career in the media, entertainment and technology industries

  • The Launch Program – a career activation program which prepares Emma Bowen seniors to enter the workforce through group and individual mentoring, interview prep, job search guidance, and more

  • Various info sessions, workshops and panel discussions led by EBF and our partner companies

  • Needs-based scholarship which can provide essential financial support

  • For certain eligible Fellows, there is the potential for a multi-summer placement enabling them to learn the ins and outs at their partner company over consecutive summers and ensure themselves an internship the following summer
