EBF Councils

NAC Council | HR Council | DEI Council | Partnership and Resource Council | Alum Council

EBF Councils are discipline-focused groups designed to give space for EBF Advisory Council members to engage more consistently with the EBF community and stay regularly informed of EBF activities. EBF Councils will provide NAC members with an opportunity to share knowledge and best practices, provide feedback on the effectiveness of relevant EBF programs, strengthen connections to peers in the EBF community, and help EBF build meaningful programming for students and alumni. EBF Councils meet on an ad-hoc basis, are staff-led and meet 2 times a year.

National Advisory Council

The National Advisory Council (NAC) serves as EBF’s primary vehicle for senior-level partner engagement and a stepping-stone for future members of the EBF Board of Directors. NAC members are expected to advocate internally for EBF and would be the primary contact for various partnership benefits, key EBF programs, and sponsorship opportunities. The NAC meets annually at our summer conference. We also encourage NAC members to participate in our discipline-specific councils, such as the DEI, HR and Tech Council.

HR Council

The HR council gets together to share and explore a variety of HR specific topics such as compensation, hiring trends, and early career training. The HR council is made up dynamic HR representatives and leaders at our partner companies and in the industry at large.

DEI Council

The DEI council shares best practices and explores the efficacy of various DEI efforts. Our DEI Council is made up of representatives across the media, entertainment, and technology industries and explores the success of various efforts within companies. The council acts as a way for representatives to connect and network among their own peers.

Partnership and Resource Council

The Partnership and Resource Council initiates and advices on new partner conversations, membership issues and focuses on the growth of fundraising efforts.

Alumni Council

The Alumni council is an unique opportunity to stay updated on the latest developments within EBF while fostering connections and exploring new programming opportunities. The council will serve as an opportunity to network with other alums and fellows, and discuss a diverse range of topics such as industry tends, to finding new ways to engage and support alums. Alums will be able to hear about EBF efforts and advise on current and future programming.
